Think about it:
Most of
us have no direct experience with dictators or sovereign authorities. What we read about such kings and
powerful rulers often reveals an evil individual whose only concern is his own
selfish desires.
How different
from the omnipotent, the Almighty God!
When He says, “My purpose will
stand, and I will do all that I please” (Isaiah 46:10), we can know without a doubt that His purposes are always for OUR good!

Q: Name something that God made known in "ancient times" that has still not happened.
A: Jesus is coming to earth again...He will take all believers to heaven...
Grade 1-2
Q: Why did Joseph still trust God when things looked so bad?
A: Joseph knew that God is always in control and he had faith, trusting God's plan.
Grade 3-4
Q: Why did God bring israel's family to Egypt?
A: God was faithfully keeping His covenant with Abraham and carrying out His own plans by protecting the growing nation of Israel.
Grade 5-6
Q: Why is life never "unfair"?
A: All of life belongs to God, and He has authority to use people and circumstances for His own purposes.
Family Activities:
1) Read age-appropriate parts of the account of Joseph from Genesis 37 and 39-47
2) Act out various scenes of the story
